Mes Tropes draws on an eighteenth century guide for authors, and is a work that may serve as a useful introduction to rhetoric and logic. In a convenient, modest yet attractive boxed set, these elusive figures of speech are readily available; under the hand, as it were. From allusion to metonym to litote, all are easily found, prompting a richer, more elegant conversation (in French to be sure, to enhance linguistic performance).
